TMC To Launch The TI5TT Motherboard

MILPITAS, CA, February 17, 1997—TMC is proud to announce the newest of their Pentium® processor motherboards, the TI5TT. Equipped with Intel's 430TX PCIset, the TI5TT will offer higher levels of performance to both the mobile and desktop platforms.

"The launch of the 430TX chipset brings together the best for both worlds: desktop and laptop," stated Jerry Ferng, TMC's Chief Executive Officer. "Desktop platforms will have both enhanced performance and technology, while laptop platforms will provide energy saving features."

Integrated with Intel's newest Pentium® based 430TX PCIset, the TI5TT offers the ultimate MMX Technology based platform for both home and business computing. This high-end board features 256K/512K Synchronous P.B. SRAM, L2 Cache, PCI 2.1 Compliance, Ultra DMA/33, IDE Buffers, System Management (SMBus) and ACPI (Advanced Configuration & Power Interface).

The 8.9 x 12-inch board, hosts four SIMM slots and two 168-pin DIMM slots and its memory configuration is expandable from 8MB to 256MB of Fast Page Mode, EDO/SRAM memory and four 32-bit PCI and four 16-bit ISA slots.

In addition to Windows 95 shut-down, modem ring-on and IrDA capabilities, other features of the TI5TT include: two 16550 UART serial ports, one EPP/ECP parallel port, 2.88M floppy format support, PS/2 mouse/keyboard connectors and two USB pin headers.
